I am a Shipley from the Ohio River Valley in Pennsylvania. My Grandparents were Gertrude Nee Streilly Shipley and Diocletian Shipley. They had 2 children, George William Shipley and Norma Shipley. I am George's daughter, Leigh Shipley Austin. I also have 2 brothers, George Edward Shipley and David Alan Shipley. How interesting that I see a Gertrude and a George W. Shipley in your family tree. These must have been fairly common names.
